FAIRFAX ASSOCIATION OF
SMALL RENTAL PROVIDERS
OUR MISSION
Empowering Fairfax’s Small Rental Providers
We are the voice of Fairfax’s small rental providers—‘Mom & Pop’ landlords who contribute to the unique character and vibrancy of our town. Our mission is to unite every small rental provider in Fairfax, advocating for fair, balanced policies that protect our rights and ensure a thriving rental community.
OUR GOALS
Building a Strong Community Together
• Support Ballot Measure I: We are actively working to pass Ballot Measure I in the November 2024 election, which seeks to repeal the rent control ordinances (Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction) implemented by the Town Council in 2022. These ordinances have created challenges for small property owners, and we believe Fairfax deserves a more balanced approach that works for everyone.
• Advocate for Inclusion: We are demanding that the Town Council recognize small rental providers as essential stakeholders. Our voices must be included in any future decisions affecting rental housing. Together, we can ensure policies reflect the needs and contributions of all community members.
WHAT WE DO
Highlighting Our Contributions
Fairfax’s small rental providers maintain over two-thirds of the town’s rental housing—about 1,000 units. These include multi-family dwellings, cottages, duplexes, and accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Our decades-long investments help sustain Fairfax’s small-town charm and character.
Championing a Fair & Vibrant Community
With over 1,000 small rental providers in Fairfax, we stand united as a powerful force. As voters, we advocate for fair housing policies that acknowledge our contributions and ensure we remain part of the solution to the housing crisis. We are committed to preserving Fairfax’s community values while supporting policies that sustain a thriving rental market for all.
